An interesting article in the recent issue of India Today – more than a little critical of the present trend of ‘the domestication of the temple mural’ and therefore thought provoking. Naveen’s work features right on top of the page.
Some pictures even as the work is progressing – the subject is Anantasayanam as you’d easily gather, and the size is close to 60 sq. feet; at such sizes, detailing takes on a different meaning altogether.
An unusual and interesting subject, one that you’re not likely to see elsewhere – Lord Ganesha having his first meal of the day (praathal). And you can also see it on site – with Naveen and a well demolished meal before it! :o)
